No, ‘Lie’ doesn’t mean to lie (as in
English). Lie in Japanese means to say ‘No’. It is pronounced as Lee-ay (‘ay’
like in ‘lay’)

You can say
‘Gomen’nasai’, If you want to apologize. It means ‘I am Sorry’.
